Ben Barak - Ben Barak is a Managing
Member of Seraphim Management, LLC, a venture fund management company, and
the President of Rosebay Capital Management, LLC, a hedge fund management
company. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Tech Coast Angels,
where he is also an active investor and mentor of startup companies.
Barak is a
“well rounded” serial entrepreneur and businessman who has held
several executive-level positions in startup companies/entities and has been
the founder of five, including the leading group of directories for
purchasing managers of electronic components, The Electronics Source Books,
which were sold to Primedia in 1993, fast becoming some of the most
profitable properties in Primedia’s history.
holds a BSEE (cum laude) and a MSEE, from the Technion, Israel’s
Institute of Technology, and began his professional career as a microwave
filters’ design engineer.
Andrea Sloan Pink - Andrea Sloan Pink
is a Managing Member of Seraphim Management, LLC, a venture fund management
company. She is a member of the Executive Committee of Tech Coast Angels. Ms. Sloan
Pink served as General Counsel and Vice-President, Legal Affairs to one of
the nation's largest DSL providers. She was a corporate attorney with
Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP where she headed the Technology Group in Orange County, California. Her practice
included advising public and private companies in Internet matters,
technology transactions and intellectual property issues. She began her legal
practice with Cooley Godward LLP in its San Diego and Palo Alto offices. Ms. Sloan
Pink holds a Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law where she
was Comments Editor of UCLA Law Review. She also holds a Master of Fine
Arts from the UCLA School of Film and
John Kensey - John Kensey has been the CEO of
several early stage companies including two in which he had a
founder’s role. He also led and became the CEO of an LBO of an
engineering/distribution company that was subsequently acquired by a large
European public company. His prior experience includes a six-year period
with McKinsey & Company, Inc.
he established Avalon Capital to serve as a platform for his consulting
activities and his personal investing in early stage companies. Since then
consulting to and investing in early stage companies has been his primary
activity. He currently has positions as an “angel investor” in
over ten early stage companies and is active with most of these companies
as either a board member or advisory board member.
has a BSIE from Stanford University, a Master of Business Administration
degree from Harvard Graduate School of Business and is a Ph.D. Candidate in
Strategic Management at the Peter F. Drucker Graduate Management Center,
Claremont Graduate School. He is also one of the founders of the Tech Coast Angels and remains
active in that organization.
